#PaxEx TV: Sukhoi makes SportJet play; and has A380 had its day?

Rotation

In this episode of #PaxEx TV, we look at Russian airframer Sukhoi’s plan to build and market a special version of its small narrowbody aircraft, the SSJ100 (currently operated by Aeroflot, CityJet, Interjet and others).

Sukhoi’s so-called “SportJet” was unveiled last week at the Farnborough International Airshow and is configured to carry about 40-50 individuals, namely professional sports teams, doctors and coaches on the road. The small airframer has invested heavily in the concept and we learn the motivation behind it.

The episode also features other key stories sourced by RGN aviation journalists at the show, and Airbus A380 news that affects passengers.
